Arthur Talansky, M.D. is a founding partner of North Shore Gastroenterology Associates, PC in Great Neck, NY and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He is an attending Gastroenterologist at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, The Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY, St. Francis Heart Center in Port Washington, NY and North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove in Glen Cove, NY.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine (Diplomate) and Gastroenterology (Diplomate), he is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Gastroenterologic Association.
Dr. Talansky attended the Bronx High School of Science. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, majoring in Biologic Sciences. He received his medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY in 1977. He completed his internship and residency at North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, under the mentorship of the late Dr. Henry Janowitz.
Dr. Talansky has been honored to be listed in the “Top Doctors in the New York Metropolitan Area” publication for the last 10 years. He has published numerous articles on a variety of gastroenterological issues and specializes in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He has lectured widely to lay and professional groups, and is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
